Today my meditation clients showed up with feelings of stress and overwhelm, the busy-ness of life weighing on their shoulders. So we did some simple body awareness and breath exercises during class to help them remember the power of breath and self care.

The practices of yoga and meditation have brought me many gifts, but the most important (for me) has been the power of awareness… just by noticing what is happening in my body and adjusting my breath, I can shift my perspective and take loving action. I do not need to absent-mindedly carry the stress of life with me everywhere.
